WoWzers!

Where to start? I know I haven't written for a long time but you all know what my life consists of..... Family, school, work, and a church calling. What? no remodeling? Not for a while. Home Depot and I kind of had a falling out. I just couldn't afford to keep dumping my money into him. I just needed a break. Our kitchen has been finished and it looks SO good. Forgive me for not putting pictures up just yet. I can't believe Aubrey (I'll give up the code names, not many people read this anyway.)I can't believe that we accomplished everything we wanted in our kitchen and did it all by ourselves. It feels good and Leila aka Jammy loves exploring it as well.

Here are some recent changes/updates that I may elaborate on if I feel like it.

1. Roxy is doing well on her mission and recently hit the 6 month mark. I love her and she is such a good example to me. I am super jealous that she will come back to Ogden and be able to get any job she wants cause she'll be speaking Spanish. I try to write her often. Let's just say my blog was being neglected due to letter to her.

2. We are expecting another baby. Haven't found out what it is yet but I am so excited! I'll be honest about it..... I'll be 20 with 2 kids. Insn't that the coolest thing? I'm so glad I have a husband who sees the eternal perspective eye to eye with me. I am due at the end of May. Luckily I can fit in another semester before I deliver!

3. I am a ward missionary with Aubrey now. I love it and feel so much more competent and cofident about sharing the gospel. You can't convert anyone until you've converted yourself so wanting to help others is a good way to stay on the straight and narrow.

4. I teach aerobics both at Weber State and Adult Dance and Fitness. Things are going well and I would love to teach you the helicopter or flamingo so come out to one of my classes.

5. Leila is now 15 months! Crazy. I am amazed at how fast she learns. She does the funniest things and I have no idea where she learns them. She is so smart and still such a wonderful child. Walking and running are on her list of favorite things to do. Oh I love her so much and she makes my job so easy!

I guess that is all for now. The semester is over so like I say the sooner I get done the sooner I don't have to go. It feels good to have 12 more credits under my belt. I now get to enjoy the holidays with my lover and Leila and my family.

I will get pictures up here soon!

August 31st

It seems like it's been a really long time since I last wrote and it probably has. Life is consisting of the same these days, school, Jammy, Arry, remodeling. The remodeling is sort of on hold right now. We are waiting for our counter top to come. We were about to tile it when my dad called and said he heard about a sale on the radio about half price granite. We drove to Salt Lake, picked some out and have just been waiting the 6-8 weeks we're supposed to. Other than that the kitchen is finished and I'm anxiously awaiting Jammy's first birthday. She is getting so big and I love her to death. I couldn't have asked for a more well behaved baby. She is so cooperative even though she doesn't want to sit still in churh. So I started another semester of school and I love it. I'm so grateful for the oppourtunity I have to attend college. I learn so much and it sort of makes me feel more valuable and important. I am learning things that I can apply to my family especially and not just the students I will eventually teach. So basically that is it. I am now a ward missionary and taught my first lesson in gospel principles and I think it went okay. Here are a couple of my favorite recent pictures.

Changes!

Change #1 As I hit the mid term of the semester I was able to finish off a couple classes and start a new one. The condensed courses were packed but completely worth the credit. All classes this summer are going towards my dual minor in Nutrition and Health. Change #2 I was recently released as the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society (Enrichment counselor). This was completely 100% percent a shock/surprise to me. I thought I was doing a good job juggling work, school, Jammy, remodeling, and family pretty well. I did have a lot on my plate and still do but I guess the Lord has something else in store for me. I'm not sure what that is just yet but I'm content with waiting and enjoying my time without a high priority calling. Change #3 All in four days Arry and I got a dishwasher, installed it with the help of my dad and little brother, and installed our hard wood floor. This includes the base boards, vent, and those things that go under neath the doors where the different floors meet (yeah.... uh don't know what they're called?)We did it all by ourselves which is the best part. We were able to spend a little more money on the wood because we didn't pay someone to do it. A big thanks goes to Brother Stanton in our ward who let us use all the necessary tools for installing the floor. Here are some pictures below to show the transformation. And now for the Granite counter top!
BEFORE!

AFTER!

Wow! We did a good job! It feels good to be done with this part! I really had so much fun doing this and thank goodness for those knee pads I found in the back of the closet cause I was on my hands and knees the whole time. Arry was a good helper! Have a happy fourth of July!

Update!

It seems like school is keeping me so busy this summer but it will be nice to have 12 more credits under my belt when the semester is over. The sooner I finish the sooner I don't have to go. I really hope that I finish school soon. I see lots of other young moms around me and they seem to be just fine without school and it makes me want to fit in with them just to make my load easier but I know that finishing school will be worth it. Arry is doing a great job of being a stay at home dad when I can't be home or I'm too busy doing my homework.
I am now certified to teach aerobics and I'm really excited to get started. I will have my own class at adult dance and fitness in Ogden. I will teach step aerobics and I am holding small enrichment groups for my ward relief society to practice. I hope that people show up because they have asked about it and I want to be able to offer something that the sisters want to do. So if your interested make your way over to my house on the 16th and 24th of this month at 7 p.m. I've got a big empty room upstairs why not use it?
We are still working on the kitchen and are about to order our hardwood floor. I am so excited that we are still moving forward and we will have a brand new kitchen soon. Things are good and Jammy is getting so big. We had to move her mattress down in her crib because she is standing up now. She makes her way across any room now. Everything is happening so fast! Well I think that is it for now. Here are some pictures.

MMMMM The smell of new carpet!

Here is where the painting began! Well I guess living the productive life means neglecting the blog! Sorry to the 3 maybe 4 readers of my blog. Well the house is taking a long time. I knew the kitchen would so I decided to work on Jammy's room in the mean time. I wanted it to be my little project, something I did myself since Arry works on the kitchen while I watch Jammy. She can't be around while Arry sands because it's not good for children. So in the room, I starting with painting the ceiling, shelves, built in desk and the trim work. It needed to be done especially because the trim was already two different colors and there were spider webs all over. I decided to keep the wall paper even though it is torn up in some places. It's so cute especially for a little girl's room. So the painting had been done for a while when Arry and I finally looked for carpet. We ordered online so I made sure that I finished everything else before it came. So I updated all of the outlets and covers, changed out the lighting fixture and also updated all of the hardware on the closets and desk. It was nice to do it by myself. And updating the light was really a piece of cake. I got practice on the outlets and I only got shocked once! hahaha. Well I'll just show you the transition from before to after!

Living the Productive Life!

Well I am definitely happier when I have things to do. And I have a lot right now. It's official !!!!!! Arry's parents bought a house and their moving out! Yes, I have loved every minute of being a spoiled daughter but that is not why I signed the marriage license. So we've got plans for our new house which include (just the kitchen for now) Sanding the wooden walls, cabinets and ceiling, switching the oven and fridge places, installing hardwood floors if they don't exist already, tiling our counter top and window seal with New Venetian Gold granite countertop, hooking up the dishwasher, and doing my own backsplash which I'm so excited for! I'm ready to get those creative genes flowing because currently the faucet is dripping. So Spring break is coming up and I'm ready to pull up the sleeves and pack the parents bags. It's been nice living with them but I'm glad Jammy will have 2 parents instead of 4.
So my calling as the Enrichment Counselor is keeping me busy and I know I take on more than I have to but when you pray for service opportunities the Lord is happy to send them your way. I absolutely love my calling and the people I serve with. (You know who you are)I am really glad that we are staying the ward too.
School.....I love that too. My growth and motor development teacher Dr. Carboni is one of the best teachers I've ever had in my life. And I'm super excited to finish school in the Physical Education field but it will take a long time. I am meeting a lot of nice and fun people and it's great to have time for myself. The short but sweet walks home from school is just what I need to appreciate all of the good I have in my life.
Well here we go! Wish me luck and feel free to come and help out!

2009 Finally

Okay so I'm a little late. I meant to get another post up before the year was up but oh well. I was challenged by my oldest sister....we'll call her Nalla...to write like 20 random things, shortcomings, facts, habits or goals about myself. Well here I go.

1. I find ways to discipline myself such as: shutting my computer down so I stay off facebook for a while. Or putting a stool in the kitchen doorway to remember that it's fast Sunday and putting all the laundry on the bed so that I get it all done before I can go to sleep that night.

2. I like that what my mom told me before I got married, " Crying works." Because sometimes it does. hahah

3. Hmmm a habit? Making farting sounds to my little baby Jammy. Sometimes I do it without thinking.

4. I love when my family is all together and I wish that everyone loved being there as much as I do. It sucks they don't.

5. I love that I'm like a little sister to my brother in law. We are 12 years apart so it makes being annoying to an older sibling fun again. I hope that he doesn't mind.

6. Man I'm only on 6. Fact.... I really enjoyed being a cheerleader. It was a lot of fun and I learned a ton but I really wouldn't ever do it again.

7. Honestly the hardest thing about being a mom is dealing with my mother in law.

8. I was really surprised when I got called to the Relief Society Presidency. How could I not be? I am only 19 and they stole me from the Young Womens Presidency. Weird.

9. I hope that my little sister... uh, Nully recognizes that there is more to life than her boyfriend and her wants. I also hope she's not hit with real life like a fish on a dam wall. Ouch.

10. I love that I can talk to my dad about anything. He is one of my bestfriends and by far one of the easiest people to tease.

11. I like being able to buy myself a little something once in a while.

12. My husband Arry is very hard to shop for. He has everything!

13. I am currently studying to take my test to get my aerobics instructor certification.

14. I try to spend some one on one time with each of my siblings but it feels like there are so many barriers. I don't know why it's so hard. You'd think if someone loves you, they'd make time for you. I wish things were slightly different when it comes to my siblings.

15. People think that I am older than I am. And I like that. I like that my boss thinks it's a burn on me when he says he's twice my age.

16. I want more babies!!!!!

17. I somewhat dislike my job but I am grateful for it. The hours are what I choose. I can work from home with Arry and Jammy haha and it's a good way to learn more about my husbands passion. Plus, stay at home moms would kill for my job.

18. The number 18 and number 13 are the jersey numbers that students weren't allowed to have in middle school because they were gang numbers.

19. Fact. I LOVE cheese!

20. I've watching the following video 100 plus times.

I love my little baby! And my baby daddy! haha

See you next month!?

Sincerely,

Marcizzle
